A Brief Introduction of Master Ruilie Li and
His Promotion of Dao |
ˇ@ˇ@ Master Ruilie Li, whose Taoist appellation is Yu-Zhen (Jade-Real), calls himself Yu-Sou-Weng (Fool-Old-Man). He was born in I-lan, Taiwan in 1921. Master Li, who grew up in a strict family, is sincere and simple in his nature. He is a hard-working and self-disciplined man who treats his parents with filial respect. The 1940s was perils of the time. Master Li was drafted to fight the battle in China. He saw the stupidity of the war and bewailed the extreme human tragedy. He described the battlefield as a hell. He suddenly realized that good would be rewarded with good, and evil with evil, so that he made up his mind to save the world and the humanity, and to try his best to devote himself to the society. ˇ@ˇ@For more than four decades, Master Li has given speeches in many places and dedicated himself to the cause of Dao promotion. Traditional Confucian, Taoist and Buddhist thoughts have been the core contents of his speeches. The spirit of Master Liˇ¦s Dao promotion is in line with Buddhist teachings that teach people to help themselves and help others. His promotion of Dao is for the benefits of people and he shows no concern to worldly fames and gains. His deeds are honorable.
